Katy Perry in a Sparkly Dress

Katy Perry

Singer-songwriter/actress Katy Perry was born Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson, October 25, 1984, in Santa Barbara, California. Earlier in her career she went by the name Katy Hudson, but later changed her surname to Perry (her mother’s maiden name) to avoid being confused with actress Kate Hudson.

Her album releases include a self-titled gospel album Katy Hudson (2001), One of the Boys (2008), and Teenage Dream (2010). She became popular when her second single, “I Kissed a Girl” was released in 2008. The song topped the top international charts.

Katy is known for her unconventional style of dress. She has announced that she is coming out with her own fragrance called “Purr.”

Katy Perry married Russell Brand on October 23, 2010, in a traditional Hindu ceremony held in Rajasthan, India.

Kari Wührer

Kari Wührer was born April 28, 1967, in Brookfield, Connecticut, U.S. She’s an actress and singer, sometimes credited as Kari Salin.

Wührer’s first break in television came from her “hostess” work on MTV’s Remote Control (1987). Following her stint on that TV show she began working in film also. Some mainstream film roles include Eight Legged Freaks (2002), Anaconda (1997), and Berserker (2001). She came to mainstream fame in 1997 playing Maggie Beckett on the series Sliders.

In 2001, during the filming of Spider’s Web, Wührer’s breast implants encapsulated so she subsequently had them removed. She had them put in 13 years earlier due to insecurities, and because of being pressured by a record producer to enlarge her bust size.

Kari married Daniel Salin in 1994 and later divorced in 1999. She is currently married to film producer James Scura (since 2003) and they have three children together.
